Solofill SOLOGRIND 2-in-1 Coffee Burr Grinder Review

Solofill SOLOGRIND is a 2-in-1 burr coffee grinder that can grind either right into reusable pods/filter baskets or grounds container. It’s designed for Keurig brewing systems and is compatible with other Solofill products including Decaflo, Solofill 3 Chrome, Solofill 3 Gold, Solopod and Solofill V1.

Grinding

Solofill SOLOGRIND grinds pretty coarse. Even the finest grinding setting produces medium-coarse grind and coarsest settings are too coarse for anything. Grind consistency isn’t great too but that’s somewhat to be expected at this price point.

Even if you select lowest (1 cup) setting it overfills pods/filter baskets so it’s best to grind manually. It’s also a bit messy and throws some grounds on the countertop when grinding.

Controls

On the front of Solofill SOLOGRIND burr grinder you will find 2 buttons (“Start” and “Pause”) as well cup selector dial (1 to 11 + “Off” setting). On the back On the back there’s selector wheel dial for selecting grind coarseness. Controls are simple but would be a bit more comfortable to use if they were all on one side.

Solofill SOLOGRIND burr grinder comes with grounds container, single serve coffee adapter, one Solofill 3 Chrome refillable filter cup and brush for cleaning.

It will not grind if bean hopper lid is open for safety purposed.

Conclusions

Idea behind Solofill SOLOGRIND burr grinder is a good one but it doesn’t perform that well. It’s messy, grind is not as uniform as you would like and if you use automatic grind setting it tends to overfill pods/filter baskets.
