Snow Joe 323E 13-Inch 10-Amp Electric Snow Shovel (Review)

Snow Joe 323E is a cord powered electric shovel with 13 inch clearing width and 6 inch intake height. It has 2 blade paddle auger and with its 10 amp motor can move up to 400 pounds of snow per minute. Although it’s not a replacement for a full blown snow blower it can still be very useful in some circumstances.

Performance

Snow Joe 323E works very well with almost every kind of snow with depth of up to 6 inches. Whether it’s light, heavy or wet snow – most of the time this unit does the job although at times it can struggle with wet snow.

It can handle more snow too but due to its power and intake height 6 inches is a safe zone. Anything more than that and sometimes it does perform rather well, other times – it’s just not enough. If you frequently experience snowfalls of more than 6 inches you probably need a snow blower, but for lights jobs Snow Joe 323E electric snow shovel performs pretty well.

Quality

Snow Joe 323E is a budget priced device so you probably wouldn’t expect heavy duty quality from it – and you would be right. It’s mostly made of plastic and feels a bit fragile. It’s not necessary something that you should expect to break rather soon but you definitely want to use it with care and not abuse it.

Conclusions

Snow Joe 323E performs well when it comes to light duty jobs but this is not the machine you would want to use in a foot deep snow. Is it worth to spend your money on it? Only as long as you use it for light jobs and have adequate expectations considering this device is cheap.
