Worx WG163.10 GT 3.0 20V 12″ String Trimmer & Edger Review
Worx WG163.10 GT 3.0 string trimmer has 20V motor that does 7,600 RPM under no load. It has cutting swath of 12 inches and uses 0.065” line.
Overall performance is mediocre. It can trim regular grass i.e. do light duty jobs, but anything medium or high duty is too much for Worx WG163.10 GT 3.0, it won’t cut through thick weeds or overgrowths.
Depending on your intended use it might perform just well enough or be underpowered.
Battery
Worx WG163.10 GT 3.0 string trimmer is available in different sets but the one we are reviewing comes with two batteries and quick charger. Battery life is not that great – each battery lasts 10-20 minutes, so with two batteries you can expect total run time of 20-40 minutes (usually 30-35).
There are also sets sold with only 1 battery but considering it only lasts 10-20 minutes on full charge it won’t be enough for most consumers.
Features
Worx WG163.10 GT 3.0 string trimmer can be turned into edger in seconds and vice versa.
Shaft length is adjustable – however it’s still quite short even in longest setting. Angle of front handle can be adjusted too and you can tilt trimmer head as well (by 90°).
You can feed Worx WG163 (.10 GT 3.0) by pressing a button that’s located conveniently on handle – it’s convenient system but it does waste a bit too much line.
Worx WG163.10 GT 3.0 isn’t attachment friendly as the head cannot be removed.
One thing that you might find very annoying is that it has “safety” button that you have to press with your right thumb constantly which isn’t very comfortable.

Conclusions
Overall Worx WG163.10 GT 3.0 is a mediocre string trimmer and wouldn’t be my choice for the price – despite that consumer feedback is surprisingly good so keep that in mind when making the decision which string trimmer to buy.
