#1 Wine Enthusiast 236 02 40 02 N’FINITY PRO HDX 30″

N’FINITY PRO HDX 30″ is a wine and beverage cooler that’s equipped with R600a refrigerant. It has 2 temperature zones – left one designed for wine and the right one for cans.

Temperature in left zone can be set 41°F to 72°F and it holds up to 35 wine bottles, temperature in right zone ranges from 36°F to 72°F and it can hold up to 90 cans.

Cooling

When it comes to cooling wine N’FINITY PRO HDX 30″ works really good. Temperatures in left zone seems to be accurate and constant.

The right temperature zone (one for beverages like cans) works a bit less well. There are constant temperature fluctuations by up to 5°F of selected setting.

N’FINITY PRO HDX 30″ also isn’t quiet. It makes some noise constantly and is a bit louder than your average refrigerator.

Control panel

N’FINITY PRO HDX 30″ has a little bit more advanced control panel than typical for wine coolers. It has LCD display that shows selected temperature in both zones and other information too. It has 8 touch-sensitive buttons:

  • ’’Power’’ button: Press once and then hold for 10 seconds to turn wine cooler on or off. If it’s already turned on then this button is also used for turning on control panel (press it once).
  • ’’Unlock’’ button: Hold for 3 seconds to unlock control panel (control panel will automatically lock itself and turn off after 15 seconds of inactivity).
  • ’’Light’’ button: Press to turn interior light on or off.
  • ’’°C/°F’’ button: Press to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit temperature scales.
  • ’’Set’’ button: Press to select which zone temperature you want to adjust.
  • ’’Up’’ button: Press to increase temperature in specified temperature zone by 1 degree.
  • ’’Down’’ button: Press to decrease temperature in specified temperature zone by 1 degree.
  • ’’Set-Range Select’’ button: Allows you to choose 1 of 4 temperatures ranges your wine cooler will operate in (see page 6 of manual for more information).

#2 Wine Enthusiast 272 03 18 03

Wine Enthusiast 272 03 18 03 (really weird model name but that’s the case for all Wine Enthusiast wine coolers) is a dual-zone wine cooler that can hold up to 18 bottles of wine. Temperature range for upper zone is 54°- 66°F and it has capacity of 8 bottles whereas lower zone temperature range is 46°- 66°F and it holds up to 10 bottles.

Bottle capacity is based on using “standard” Bordeaux-size bottles, if you have other types of bottles the actual capacity might be reduced.

Cooling

Wine Enthusiast 272 03 18 03 works pretty well. There might be some temperature fluctuations however they don’t seem to affect temperature of wine much (air is not very dense so temperature transfer occurs over longer period of time than these fluctuations last).

Wine Enthusiast 272 03 18 03 wine cooler works best in ambient (air) temperatures from 60°F to 65°F. If air temperature is 75°F or more performance of this wine cooler may be affected.

Control panel

Control panel is located outside on the top of the door. This means you don’t have to open the door and let warm air inside the wine cooler to make any adjustments. Control panel features two LCD display (one for each temperature zone) and 4 buttons:

  • ”Switch” button: Switches between temperature zones,
  • ”+” button: Increases temperature in selected zone by 1 degree.
  • ”-” button: Decreases temperature in selected zone by 1 degree.
  • ”Light” button: Turns interior light on or off.

Size and weight

Wine Enthusiast 272 03 18 03 wine cooler weighs 43.65 pounds and measures 9.9” wide by 20.1” deep by 36.5” high.

Other

For proper air circulation you should leave at least 2 inches of space on both side as well 4 inches on top and back.

#4 Wine Enthusiast VinoView 268 78 28 01

Wine Enthusiast VinoView is a single zone wine cooler with claimed capacity of up to 28 bottles of wine. Realistically you can expect to fit 24-26 bottles inside which is still quite close to claimed amount however if your wine collection mostly consists of wider than usual bottles then overall capacity will be reduced even further.

Cooling

Temperature inside Wine Enthusiast VinoView can be set from 39°F to 65°F. Temperature fluctuations of 1 to 4 degrees Fahrenheit aren’t uncommon.

Wine Enthusiast VinoView works best in ambient temperatures from 60°F to 77°F.

Control panel

Wine Enthusiast VinoView is equipped with LCD display and 4 buttons: One for turning interior light on/off, another one to switch between temperature scales (Fahrenheit and Celsius) and 2 more buttons for temperature adjustment.

Other

Wine Enthusiast VinoView wine cooler doesn’t have front venting so it can’t be used for built-in application. It’s exclusively a freestanding unit.

Weight and size

Wine Enthusiast VinoView weighs 55 pounds and measures 19.9” wide by 18.9” deep by 32.7” high.

Conclusions

Wine Enthusiast VinoView also seems to be a decent wine cooler however it has more negative feedback from consumers than other models.
