Wine Enthusiast VinoView 28-Bottle Wine Cooler – Review

Wine Enthusiast VinoView wine cooler holds up to 28 of standard sized Bordeaux bottles according to manufacturer. In reality you will be able to fit 24-26 which is still not bad.

Wine Enthusiast VinoView has adjustable thermostat and allows you to set chamber temperature from 39°F to 65°F (~4°C to ~18°C). It uses compressor for cooling which in this unit is precise and consistent. Temperature usually fluctuates within 1°F but sometimes can fluctuate up to 4°F.

On top of its reliable performance it also seems to not use much electricity.

Features

Wine Enthusiast VinoView is a free standing unit and isn’t suited to be built-in. Just like most wine coolers this one also has double pane glass door to protect your wine from UV rays.

Shelves roll out by 50% however they are pretty close together (they are 3.5 inches apart from each other) so larger bottles don’t fit. You can just remove them and stack bottles instead if your bottles don’t fit.

Control panel

Control panel is intuitive and simple to use. There is only 1 display – for temperature readout and 4 buttons:

• Light bulb button: Turns interior light on/off
• °F/°C button: Switches between Fahrenheit and Celsius temperature scales
• UP arrow button: Increases temperature in 1 degree increments
• Down arrow button: decreases temperature in 1 degree increments

Aesthetics

This is not the best looking unit on the market but it looks decent. Blue LED light illuminates chamber in a very beautiful way and you can clearly read the labels.

Wine Enthusiast VinoView measures 17 inches wide, 18.9 inches deep and 32.7 inches tall. It weighs 55 pounds.

Noise

Wine Enthusiast VinoView is pretty quiet for a wine cooler. It does occasionally makes some gurgling noises but for the most part it’s pretty quiet.

Miscellaneous

Manufacturer recommends to place the unit in ambient temperature between 60°F to 77°F. If operated in ambient temperature outside this range the performance of the unit might be affected.

Conclusions

Wine Enthusiast VinoView is relatively inexpensive wine cooler yet it performs very well. It’s not perfect but it’s definitely a good value for money.
