Whynter FWC-341TS is a compressor wine cooler/refrigerator with temperature adjustable from 39°F to 65°F. It uses R134a refrigerant and holds up to 34 standard sized 750mL bottles (but even then it’s a tight fit). If you own bottles of different shapes/sizes then expect to only fit 20-30 in the wine cooler.
Temperature control is not consistent. Temperature fluctuates constantly by as much as 5 degrees. Perhaps due to lack of front venting which is also why this unit can only be used as free-standing appliance. Some consumers have also complained that their unit failed to cool lower than mid-to-high 40s but this seems to be an uncommon occurrence.
Whynter FWC-341TS has LCD display temperature readout and 4 buttons: One for turning interior light on/off, another one for switching between Celsius and Fahrenheit temperature scales and two more for temperature adjustment.
Features tempered double pane gray-smoked glass for UV protection as well lockable door with two keys. Shelves are made of wood and look nice.
Dimensions and weight
Whynter FWC-341TS weighs 61 pounds and measures 19 inches wide, 18.25 inches deep (20 inches including the handle) and 33 inches high.
Whynter FWC-341TS is a bit flawed wine cooler. It’s relatively inexpensive though so perhaps if temperature fluctuations doesn’t matter much to you and you don’t mind missing on some features it can be a viable option. There are some alternatives that are better but subsequently also generally retail at slightly higher price (like Aobosi JC-85B or Colzer YC-100A).
