Weber Spirit E330 LP Grill Review

Weber Spirit E330 LP is a gas grill with 424 square inches of primary cooking area. It’s the smallest and most affordable Weber grill with side burner and sear station so is it any good?

Weber Spirit E330 LP

Weber Spirit E330 heats up very fast and can achieve higher temperatures than cheaper grills. It cooks really well with sear station being particularly effective.

Weber Spirit E330 is compatible with 20 pound LP tank. Cooking grates are made of porcelain-enameled cast iron. A good gas grill needs at least 2 burners but Weber Spirit E330 has 3.

The primary cooking area is 424 square inches large whereas warming rack is 105 square inches making up for a total of 529 square inches of total cooking area.

Main burners produce 32,000 BTUs per hour, seat station 7,500 BTU and side burner 12,000 BTU. BTU ratings alone are somewhat useless as they indicate how much fuel is burned. What really matters is heat flux which essentially stands for BTU per square inch.

The primary cooking area has heat flux index of 75 which is less then 80 which is generally considered the lowest good rating.

Numbers wise you might find it a bit disappointing that Weber Spirit E330 just barely misses the mark but on the contrary this is a good thing in this case. Since in practice Weber Spirit E330 works just fine, heats up fast and can get very hot it means that it’s well designed making it fuel efficient.

All-in-all Weber Spirit E330 offers everything to ensure you enjoy properly cooked and delicious steaks. It’s simple to use and properly designed to work great for grilling.

Quality

Weber Spirit E330 is really well built which is one of the biggest differences you will notice compared to cheaper models.

Features

Weber Spirit E330 features warming rack (105 square inches), sear station, porcelain-enameled lid, weight-based fuel gauge and tool hooks

Assembly

Assembly is very simple however can be time consuming (you can generally expect it to take from 2 to 4 hours depending how good you are at assembling things).

Instructions are very clear. All parts are labeled and fit perfectly. All you need is a bit of patience, couple hours of spare time and a Phillips screwdriver.

Verdict

Weber Spirit E330 LP grill is well made and cooks great however it’s also expensive. Is it worth the money? If you need side burner and/or sear station then yes. If you don’t need these features you could still make the argument that you pay for the quality even though it does feel slightly overpriced.
