Weber Original kettle has adjustable air vents on top and bottom. They work well and give you absolute control over airflow and temperature. Weber Original kettle holds temperature well and you can cook with direct or indirect heat techniques. Cooking grate is as basic as they get but it’s well made.

The results are delicious as charcoal gives superb smoky flavor to food. Even though Weber Original is a pretty basic charcoal grill it cooks really well.

Quality

Despite being a very affordable grill Weber Original Kettle is made to last. This is probably not a surprise for you if you have had past experience with Weber grills as they are always well made at reasonable pricing. This is not a grill that will be render useless after one or couple seasons, this thing can last well over a decade if you use it with reasonably care.

Weber Original vs Weber Premium

Weber original and premium kettles are essentially the same charcoal grills but premium model has extra features like temperature gauge, grate with hinge (so you can add fuel while cooking) and more advanced One-Touch cleaning system (makes clean up easier and less frequent).

Is the Weber Premium kettle worth the extra cost? Absolutely. Should you choose it over the original model? Probably yes, but if you don’t really need the extra features then you might just as well get the original and save some money.
