Ultrean HF-8800 AF02 4.5-Quart Electric Air Fryer Review

Ultrean HF-8800 AF02 is one of the lest expensive air fryers you can buy. It’s equipped with 4.5 quart basket and operates in temperature range from 180°F to 400°F. So what kind of compromises are you making by choosing a cheaper air fryer?

Cooking

Ultrean HF-8800 AF02 cooks well. Food comes out crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. As long as you get your settings right (temperature and cooking time) food tastes great.

Unlike other air fryers there aren’t any presets but it does show recommended settings for 6 foods (pizza, french fries, chicken nuggets, chicken legs and steak/lamb chop) on the air fryer and more in manual. They aren’t always the optimal settings so experiment.

Before first use manufacturer recommends you put slices of lemon inside the basket, set temperature to 300-400°F and “cook” them for 15 minutes. Then wash basket with soapy water. Reasoning behind this is to get rid of possible smells present from manufacturing process and protective substance on heating elements which protects them while they are stored which might influence flavor of your food.

Capacity

Basket is enough to cook for 3 people. To cook for a family of four or more you might need a bigger air fryer unless you like smaller portions.

Controls

Ultrean HF-8800 AF02 is one of the simplest air fryers to use. It has 2 dials (one for temperature and the other one for cooking time) – just adjust them and press the button to start cooking!

Conclusions

Ultrean HF-8800 AF02 doesn’t have all the functions and features more expensive models do but it cooks pretty well. It’s a pretty basic air fryer but it’s also one of the least expensive ones you can buy so value for money is decent. The most important thing is that food cooked in it turns out tasty so you can’t complain!
