#1 Ultrean AF03 6 Quart Air Fryer
Ultrean AF03 is an air fryer with 6 quart cooking basket which is large enough to cook for 3-4 people.
Performance
When it comes to cooking Ultrean AF03 is certainly top performer. It cooks fast and food ends up tasting great. Makes certain types of food quite crispy on outside like French Fries or skin of chicken wings. Meat remains juicy and tender on inside making up for very pleasant results.
Ultrean AF03 air fryer has 8 cooking presets including fish, cake, chicken legs, chips/fries, chicken, steak, shrimp and toast.
Cooking basket
The 6-quart cooking basket is removable and has perforated grill plate with nonstick coating. They are dishwasher safe. The perforated grill plate allows some of the grease to flow away from food decreasing calories as well making it less greasy and more healthy.
Control panel
Ultrean AF03 air fryer is equipped with a dial that has integrated LCD display and touch-sensitive buttons.
Temperature can be adjusted in 5 degree increments. Why is this worth mentioning? On many air fryers temperature is adjusted in 10 degree increments so there are certain temperatures you can’t select (like 365°F or 385°F) making you to go 5 degrees above or below what’s indicated in the recipe.
You might argue that 5 degrees won’t make much of a difference but it’s certainly nice that you can follow recipe precisely.
Aesthetics

#2 Ultrean AF02 4.5 Quart Air Fryer
If you need a smaller air fryer then Ultrean AF02 might be the one for you. It has 4.5 quart large basket which is adequately sized to cook for 2-3 people.
Performance
Coming #2 Ultrean AF02 obviously does a great job of cooking food despite being one of the more affordable air fryers. It crisps french fries nicely and food ends up being delicious.
Like most air fryers it has a temperature range of 180°F to 400°F. It doesn’t have any cooking programs/presets though. Instead it has some of the recommended settings for certain foods (i.e. french fries or drumsticks) printed on it.
Control panel
Most air fryer have digital controls but not Ultrean AF02. Instead it uses old-school mechanical ones like you typically see on regular ovens. It’s equipped with two knobs – one for temperature and the other for time. It also has two indicator lights: “Heating” and “Power on”.
Burn-in procedure
All air fryers have protective substance on heating element that protects it during storage/shipping that gets eliminated by heat. When burning off it can produce some smoke or weird smell so it’s recommended you do burn-in cycle before you actually cook anything.
The recommended procedure is pretty simple. Just cook slices of lemon or distilled vinegar and lime juice mixture for 10-15 minutes at 300°F. Usually doing this once is enough but you can perform this procedure twice to make sure everything burns off properly.
This is the case for pretty much all air fryers (including from other companies) not just Ultrean AF02 and is completely normal. Without initial burn-in procedure you might experience the previously mentioned smoke and/or smell which might make some consumers think that something is wrong with their air fryer but this goes away rather quickly.
Verdict
If you need affordable, simple and compact yet effective air fryer then Ultrean AF02 is the one that checks all those boxes.
#3 Ultrean AF0402 6-Quart Air Fryer
Ultrean AF0402 is another air fryer with 6 quart capacity. It’s not as attractive as Ultrean AF03 but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t work as good.
Performance
Despite being one of the least expensive 6-quart air fryers you can buy Ultrean AF0402 cooks just fine. It makes food more or less as crispy as other air fryers do, the food tastes pretty much the same as with other air fryers (which by the way is delicious and rich in flavour).
Ultrean AF0402 does have 7 presets: French fries, meat, shrimp, cake, chicken, steak and fish. They work decently well but sometimes you will be better off doing some small adjustments to temperature or time.
Cooking basket
Pan can be detached from cooking basket. Cooking basket is dishwasher safe.
Control panel
Control panel is pretty similar to what you get with most other air fryers. There’s display screen and 6 touch sensitive buttons. It’s fairly intuitive and therefore easy to use.
Verdict
Ultrean AF0402 might not be the fanciest air fryer out there but it gets the job done. You certainly can’t complain by the way it cooks, quite the opposite, it certainly deserves a praise as everything you cook tastes great.
#4 Ultrean AF01 4.2 Quart Air Fryer
Ultrean AF01 is a simple, basic, affordable and compact air fryer which is exactly what most consumers are looking for. It has 4.2 quart cooking basket which is large enough to cook for 2-3 people. It has selectable temperature range of 180° to 400°F.
Performance
Ultrean AF01 cooks fairly well. It crisps food nicely and it ends up tasting great. The best part is that it’s healthy too as you don’t have to use any oil however if you want to make your french fries even crispier then spraying a small amounts of oil does help.
Control panel
Ultrean AF01 has a very basic control panel that makes it easy to use. It’s equipped with LCD display screen and 5 buttons: Two of the buttons are for adjusting temperature, two are for adjusting time and the last one is “On/Off” button.
Features
Cooking basket is dishwasher safe and pan has nonstick coating applied to it. Ultrean AF01 also has heat-resistant handle that doesn’t get hot during cooking and remains safe to touch.
Possible issues
Some consumers have reported their Ultrean AF01 air fryer catching fire. Keep in mind that this is one of the best selling air fryers so it’s only to be expected for some to have bad experience however being a potential fire hazard is a huge hazard. We cannot confirm if such complaints are legitimate but the fact that there have been some is at least slightly worrying. With that being said most consumers have had positive experience with this model.
Verdict
Ultrean AF01 is a really good air fryer however due to some of the concerning reports from consumers as rare they are it only ranks #4.
