Ultrean 6-Quart Air Fryer Review

Ultrean AF0402 is an air fryer with 6-quart capacity – enough to cook for 3-4 persons at a time. It’s one of the cheaper models so is it any good? Let’s find out!

Cooking

Food comes out tasting great. Ultrean 6-Quart air fryer works well with most types of food including steaks, french fries, chicken, tater tots, veggies and more.

Chicken comes out juicy on inside with crispy skin on outside. French fries come out really great too if you spray a slight amount of oil on them. Overall Ultrean AF0402 cooks pretty well and isn’t far off from more expensive models.

Presets

Despite being a cheaper air fryer Ultrean AF0402 does have 7 presets: French fries, meat, shrimp, cake, chicken, steak and fish. They don’t however always work perfectly as optimal settings are often influenced by how much of food you are cooking. If you cook more than usual you might increase the temperature and/or time a bit.

Quality

Being a cheaper model overall quality is average. The housing is made of plastic so it doesn’t feel particularly heavy duty. Nothing to complain about really other than the fact that handle mechanism could be sturdier as it’s hard to predict how well a plastic one will hold up over long term use.

Control panel

Ultrean 6-Quart air fryer is equipped with LCD display and touch sensitive buttons. It’s simple to use.

Other

Cooking basket and pan are detachable from each other. Cooking basket has nonstick coating applied to it as is dishwasher safe so clean up is super easy.

Verdict

Ultrean AF0402 is a decent air fryer for the money. It’s not as good as more expensive models but if you don’t want to spend a lot of money it’s good enough.
