Ultrean 12.5 Quart Air Fryer Oven Review (AF12)

Ultrean AF12 is air fryer oven with 12.5 quart cooking capacity. It cooks in temperatures ranging from 150°F to 400°F (90°F to 170°F when using dehydrate function) and comes with many accessories. This is not the first Ultrean air fryer we are writing about and in the past consensus has varied from model to model. So is Ultrean AF12 a good air fryer oven for the money or do some of its competitors do a better job?

Cooking

Ultrean AF12 cooks well for the most part. Sometimes turkey can come out a bit dry or potato fries lack crispiness but most of the time food comes out tasting great. Meat is usually very tender and juicy on inside, french fries typically come out crispy and if they do lack crispiness you can spray small amount of cooking oil before cooking to make them more crispy.

You can also dehydrate or reheat leftovers – Ultrean AF12 air fryer oven works great for those purposes.

Are there any flaws or issues? Yes there are. Temperature control seems to be inaccurate. Sometimes by as much as 30 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit. That’s a lot!

On the upside Ultrean AF12 doesn’t emit much heat so it won’t warm up your kitchen/house like regular oven would. But the temperature inaccuracies is a significant flaw.

Noise

Ultrean AF12 is on the louder side of air fryer ovens. It makes some noise when you are cooking but it’s not bad. The worst thing is the beeping. It’s very loud and lasts for multiple seconds. It doesn’t only happen when it has finished cooking but also in other instances like when you are adjusting temperature and time. Very annoying!

Features

Ultrean AF12 air fryer oven has 8 presets (Fries, ribs, fish, shrimp, chicken, cake, beef and dehydrate). They make cooking simpler but doesn’t always work great (sometimes food is undercooked).

It also has Rotisserie function. It works well for the most part, the only issue is that getting rotisserie fork in is a bit difficult.

Accessories

Ultrean AF12 air fryer oven comes with drip tray, chicken fork, rotating basket, skewers rack and 3 dehydrating racks, tong and rotisserie retrieval. They are dish-washer safe.

Conclusions

Ultrean AF12 air fryer oven leaves mixed impressions. On one hand it cooks well most of the time and offers quite a lot for its price – it has presets, many accessories and even a rotisserie function. However it also has some flaws. It goes offer good value for money however there are better air fryer ovens but they will likely cost more.
