ULIT IM1226-B1 countertop ice maker can make up to 26 pounds of bullet shaped ice cubes in 24 hours. It uses R600a refrigerant and pure copper evaporator. So it ULIT IM1226-B1 worth the money?

Ice production

ULIT IM1226-B1 makes 9 ice cubes per batch with each batch taking 7-11 minutes to be made. First 1-2 batches might take a bit longer to be made and be of lower quality as ice maker need some time to properly cool down.

Ice quality is decent. If you love to chew on ice then you will really like this ice maker as ice cubes it makes are soft and really chewable.

Ice basket is not refrigerated so made ice cubes will slowly melt unless you put them in freezer.

Control panel

ULIT IM1226-B1 control panel is pretty basic and simple to use. It features just 2 buttons: one for turning the ice maker on/off and other for starting self-cleaning mode.

Above the buttons there are also 3 indicator lights: one simply indicates that unit it making ice but the other two are warning indicators for when ice basket if full or water reservoir empty.

Features

Infrared sensors that detect if ice basket is full or water reservoir empty – if either is true it will pause ice production until you take care of the issue. Water reservoir capacity is 1.5 liters which is about 50 oz whereas ice basket can hold up to 1.6 lbs of ice cubes.

ULIT IM1226-B1 has drain plug if you need to get rid of water from water reservoir but it’s located at the bottom which is not the most convenient place – it’s not a big deal though since ice maker is relatively compact and lightweight.

ULIT IM1226-B1 also has self-cleaning mode and transparent window so you can see how much ice cubes have been made without opening the lid and letting warm air inside.

ULIT IM1226-B1 is Intertek ETL listed meaning it has been tested by Intertek and compliant with accepted national standards.

Conclusions
