TOSHIBA AC25CEW-SS Countertop Convection Toaster Oven

TOSHIBA AC25CEW-SS is a countertop convection toaster oven with temperature range of 150 °F to 450 °F and internal volume of 25 liters (about 26 quarts). It’s quite affordable and is made by reputable company so surely it should be good purchase, right?

Cooking with TOSHIBA AC25CEW-SS Countertop Convection Toaster Oven

TOSHIBA AC25CEW-SS heats up faster than a regular oven and cooks pretty well- the results are just as you would expect them to be.

Sure, some of the more expensive and advanced countertop ovens like June Smart Oven, Ninja DT251 Foodi or Breville BOV845BSS do perform a bit better however TOSHIBA AC25CEW-SS certainly isn’t dissapointing in any way.

Even more – it’s very versatile for a budget priced model with 10 different cooking functions: Toast, Bake, Broil, Pizza, Cookies, Defrost, Reheat, Rotisserie, Keep Warm and Convection.

If you have to highlight one of the functions it’s “Rotisserie”. It actually comes with a rotisserie kit so you can cook an actual chicken which is not a very common feature for models that are this affordable.

Temperature range depends on cooking function you use. When using “Convection” function the maximum temperature you can choose is 450°F however with “Broil” and “Rotisserie” it’s just 350°F.

“Defrost” and “Keep Warm” functions go up to 180°F which is nothing to complain about as they shouldn’t be used at higher temperatures for desired results.

Heat

The outside does get warm as it’s often the case with inexpensive countertop ovens however it doesn’t seem to get so hot it would cause any burns (maybe except the window). There are a lot of other countertop ovens that do get a lot hotter so this isn’t exactly a criticism.

Control Panel

Control panel of TOSHIBA AC25CEW-SS features display screen, three knobs (function, temperature and time) and “Start/Stop” button. As you can see the control panel is simple and therefore easy to use.

Quality

TOSHIBA AC25CEW-SS feels better made that vast majority of other countertop convection ovens that cost similar money (albeit it’s not quite as good as many of the high-end models). Does this mean it will last longer than its competitors? It’s hard to say as perceived quality doesn’t always tell the whole story.

Just because something feels and looks higher quality doesn’t mean it’s well engineered on inside however since Toshiba is a reputable brand it’s probably unlikely that there are any significant flaws considering long-term use.

Accessories

TOSHIBA AC25CEW-SS countertop convection toaster oven comes with a baking pan, baking rack, crumb tray, rack clamp and rotisserie kit.

Other

There is one flaw that some consumers might consider to be significant – there’s not interior light. Even though the window is large and easy to see through in dark setting you might have trouble seeing how done is your meal.

Another thing to mention that some buyers might not realize is that only the front of the oven is in silver color – all of the rest sides are black.

We would also recommend you clean it after each time you cook. If you leave some grease on the walls and keep cooking with it remaining there it will be hard or even impossible to fully remove it.

Verdict

TOSHIBA AC25CEW-SS is affordable countertop oven that’s surprisingly versatile and well made for its price. It’s certainly not the best countertop oven in the world but you should never expect it to be one at this price point. For the money it’s one of the best units you can buy.
