TOSHIBA AC25CEW-BS Digital Toaster Oven Review

TOSHIBA AC25CEW-BS is a digital toaster oven with 1500 watt power supply that can cook in temperatures ranging from 150°F to 450°F.

Cooking with TOSHIBA AC25CEW-BS

Toshiba AC25CEW-BS heats up quite fast albeit high-end models do heat up faster. Toshiba cooks evenly too and faster than a regular oven (keep that in mind as using same settings might result in burnt food, you will likely have to decrease cooking time and maybe temperature too from what you are used to with your regular oven).

Toshiba AC25CEW-BS has convection mode so it can work in a similar way as an air fryer does. It also has rotisserie feature which is just “okay” and will only work with smaller chickens (no larger than 4 pounds) or cornish hen.

Toshiba AC25CEW-BS has a total of 10 different cooking functions: Toast, Bake, Broil, Pizza, Cookies, Defrost, Reheat, Rotisserie, Keep Warm and Convection.

Toasting function works well however it takes longer than regular toaster. You can however do 6 toasts at a time.

Noise

TOSHIBA AC25CEW-BS can be a bit noisy and it also does have loud beeps. For some these things will be drawbacks.

Heat

The housing of TOSHIBA AC25CEW-BS gets very warm when cooking (it’s the case for most countertop ovens). The glass window can get particularly hot so be careful with that!

Accessories

Toshiba AC25CEW-BS comes with removable crumb tray, rotisserie kit and lifter, baking rack, baking pan and a rack clamp.

Control panel

Toshiba AC25CEW-BS control panel features display screen, 3 knobs (temperature, time and cooking function) and “Start/Stop” button. Control panel is intuitive and very simple to use.

Temperature is adjusted in 10 degree increments (so if the recipe says cook at 385°F you will have to choose either 380°F or 390°F).

Possible issues

Most of the consumer feedback about this model is very positive however some people have had some issues (like with any appliance). The most concerning complaint is that some consumers experienced the glass window exploding – This seems to be an issue with very small amount of units and might be due to some sort of issue with specific batch of windows that might be fixed now but since few consumers did experience this we feel obliged to inform you as well!

Verdict

TOSHIBA AC25CEW-BS digital toaster oven is very versatile for the money and even though it’s not as good as more expensive high-end convection ovens (like Breville BOV845BSS, Ninja DT251 Foodi or the exceptional June Smart Oven) it’s still a pretty decent one. If you don’t want to spend a lot of money but want something that can do a lot of things fairly well then TOSHIBA AC25CEW-BS is worth a try! It’s certainly one of the best models (if not the best) at this price point.
