Tavata 12c Portable Countertop 26 lbs/24h Ice Maker Review

Tavata 12c is inexpensive portable countertop ice maker that can produce up to 1.1 lbs of ice cubes every hour (up to 26 lbs of ice in 24 hours). It weighs 16.7 pounds and measures 9.6” wide, 13.9″ deep and 13″ tall.

Ice production

Tavata 12c makes a batch of 9 ice cubes every 6-13 minutes depending on which ice cube size you have selected as well air and water temperatures. It can make ice cubes in two different sizes.

Ice cubes are bullet shaped with hollow middle. They melt fast but also cool drink really well.

One thing that will disappoint some is that ice basket is not refrigerated meaning if you leave ice cubes there they will slowly melt.

Control panel

Tavata 12c has only two buttons: On/Off button turns the unit on/off or enters self-cleaning mode if you hold it and Select button is simply for selecting ice cube size. It also has 5 indicator lights, two of them just warns you if water reservoir is empty or ice basket full, another two is simply for showing which ice cube size setting you have selected and the last indicator simply lights up when you turn on the ice maker.

Features

Tavata 12c ice maker machine is ETL certified. It has previously mentioned self cleaning mode as well sensors to detect when water reservoir is empty or ice basket full. If it detects either it will pause ice production.

Water reservoir capacity is 1.7 liters or 57 oz.

Conclusions
