Suncast SS500ST is a small, inexpensive outdoor storage deck box with storage capacity of 22 gallons (which equals to 82 liters or almost 3 cubic feet).

Quality

Suncast SS500ST 22-Gallon deck box is made of poly resin plastic. Overall quality is pretty good. Deck box feels reasonably sturdy although not as sturdy as Keter deck boxes which have thicker panels.

Top panel or lid feels really robust and strong yet opposite is somewhat true for bottom panel which feels less sturdy.

Another thing worth mentioning is that hinges are plastic and won’t last 20 years.

Weatherproofness

Rain water seems to stay out of the Suncast SS500ST deck box so it’s quite water resistant.

Assembly

Suncast SS500ST 22-Gallon deck box is very easy to assemble and it requires no tools – you just snap pieces together.

Dimensions

Suncast SS500ST deck box measures 22 inches wide, 17 inches deep and 19.5 inches high.

Conclusions

Suncast SS500ST is a nice little deck box but it’s a bit less sturdy than Keter deck boxes. Also considering value for money Suncast SS500ST is perhaps slightly overpriced but not by such a margin it should be deal-breaker if you like it.
