Suncast DB5000 is outdoor storage deck box with storage capacity of 50 gallons. It’s not as roomy as other deck boxes which usually have storage capacity of 100+ gallons but not everyone needs a large and expensive storage solution.

So is Suncast DB5000 worth the money?

Quality

Suncast DB5000 is made of poly resin plastic but it’s actually quite sturdy. Quality is really good for the money however there’s one thing you could complain about and that’s hinges – they are made of poly resin plastic too so it’s hard to predict if they will last for years to come.

Weatherproofness

Suncast DB5000 is very weatherproof as rain water or snow doesn’t get inside the deck box.

Features

Suncast DB5000 50 gallon deck box is pretty featureless – it doesn’t have handles, wheels or even option to be fitted with padlock (you can’t lock it so stronger wind might open the lid).

Dimensions

Suncast DB5000 measures 40 inches wide (except lid which is 41 inches wide), 20 inches deep (except lid which is 21 inches deep) and 22 inches high at highest point on the outside.

Inside dimensions are following: 37 inches wide, 17 inches deep and 18.5 inches high at highest point.

Conclusions

Suncast DB5000might lack some features and it isn’t the roomiest deck box but it’s very well made for the money.
