Snow Joe SJ622E Review

Snow Joe SJ622E is corded electric snow blower with 4 blade steel auger that cuts 18 inches wide and 10 inches deep. Snow Joe SJ622E has 15-amp motor and can clear up to 720 pounds of snow per minute.

Performance

Clears 10 inches of fluffy snow effortlessly and will handle more too! Deals with dense snow well too but you might have to go at it slower. It can handle a few inches of slushy snow too but it can struggle a bit – Snow Joe SJ622E isn’t really made for wet/slushy snow.

Snow Joe SJ622E throws fluffy snow around 10 feet – not quite the “up to 30 feet” Snow Joe claims. If you are cleaning very hard or slushy snow then it will throw it even less far.

Quality

Most of the unit is made of plastic and it does feel cheap. It might even leave a first impression of being flimsy but it doesn’t take long to realize that it’s actually sturdy enough (unless you like to physically abuse your devices, i.e. kicking them repeatedly to relieve anger).

Ironically the weakest point is probably the auger which is made from aluminum – although it’s sturdy enough when it cuts through snow or ice it can bend if it hits something hard like rocks.

Ease of use

Because of its light weight Snow Joe SJ622E is very easy to use, push and maneuver. It weighs just 31.83 lbs or 14.44 kilograms. Most of you will be able to pick it up without much effort.

The only downside of its light weight is that it can be hard to push into hard/dense snow, but other than that it’s very easy to use.

Conclusions

Snow Joe SJ622E deals pretty well with dry snow but it does struggle with wet (albeit can handle a bit of fit reasonably well). For some consumers Snow Joe SJ622E will be everything they will ever need, for others it won’t be sufficient.
