Royal Gourmet GB4000 is a 36-inch flat top gas griddle grill. It features total cooking area of 784 square inches (36.2” by 21.7”) and 4 independently controlled stainless-steel burners that can output 13,000 BTU each making up for a total heat output of 52,000 BTU per hour.

Royal Gourmet GB4000 puts out good heat and cooks fast. The heat distribution seems to be fairly even.

Some have complained about ceramic layer coming off however that shouldn’t really be an issue once you properly season the griddle.

Quality

The overall quality is quite decent, Royal Gourmet GB4000 feels heavy duty. Griddle plate is made of ceramic coated steel and is 4.5 millimeters thick. With that being said it’s not exactly as good as Camp Chef FTG600 or Blackstone griddles.

Features

Royal Gourmet GB4000 is equipped with electronic ignition system, removable grease collection cup, caster wheels, foldabe side shelves as well bottom shelf with hanging bar and 4 hooks for tools and accessories.

The sides tables do soak some of the heat from the griddle, particularly part that’s closer to griddle.

Possible issues

Royal Gourmet GB4000 could be better packaged. There are various reports from consumers about the unit getting dented or damaged during shipping. Because of this in some cases some parts might be bent or not fit properly but it’s also important to keep in mind that most of the consumer satisfaction is positive.

Verdict

Overall Royal Gourmet GB4000 is a decent griddle however it’s not quite as good as Camp Chef FTG600 or Blackstone flat top grills.
