PowerXL MFC-AF-6 Combo Deluxe is a 12-in-1 air fryer that can air fry, grill, slow cook, steam, sauté, bake, roast, rice maker, simmer, sous vide, fry or just keep your food warm. It has 6-quart capacity and can cook in temperatures from 110°F to 500°F which is quite impressive as most air fryers only go as high as 400°F.

PowerXL MFC-AF-6 Combo Deluxe Grill Air Fryer seems to offers quite the value for the money but is it really that good?

Cooking

PowerXL MFC-AF-6 Deluxe cooks really, really well and it’s really versatile. You can grill steak with die cast grill plate and it comes out perfect with grill marks. Chicken wings come out tender and juicy with really good and pure flavor without excessive grease. Roasted vegetables are wonderful. Steam and slow cook functions work great too.

It doesn’t heat up your kitchen like a regular oven does which is huge benefit in hot summer days.

PowerXL MFC-AF-6 Deluxe has 12 presets (cooking functions). Each preset has default temperature and time settings but you can further adjust time and temperature to your liking. The perfect temperature and cooking time will depend on what and how much you are cooking.

Noise

PowerXL MFC-AF-6 Deluxe is very quiet for an air fryer, it’s almost noiseless while cooking. It does beep a lot though.

First use

Like most if not all air fryers PowerXL MFC-AF-6 Deluxe has protective substance on heating elements to avoid damage during shipping. This substance will be eliminated the first time you use the air fryer but might emit burning or chemical smelling odor. For this reason it’s recommended that you clean inside of air fryer (including inner pot and glass lid) with clean, moist cloth and then perform burn-in cycle by cooking lemon slices for 5-10 minutes to get rid of this protective substance and any odors it might emit.

Also don’t forget to read instructions before first use!

Clean up

Clean up is super easy. Nothing really sticks to the Teflon coating and food comes out really easily. Just wipe with a non-abrasive cloth and if that’s not enough just run cooking accessories under hot water for a bit.

Possible issues

Some consumers have experienced nonstick coating peeling off after a while whereas others haven’t had this issue. Perhaps those who did have this issue cleaned accessories with abrasive materials but you can’t know for sure what’s the reason behind this.
