PowerSmart PS76210A is a battery powered 36 Volt string trimmer. It has cutting swath of 12 inches and uses 0.065” line. It does 7,500 RPM at no load.

Performance

For a budget priced string trimmer PowerSmart PS76210A performs pretty well. It’s not as powerful as gas powered string trimmer but it tackles pretty much everything you would find in a regular yard. Be warned that it’s not made for heavy duty jobs though.

It uses 3.0 Ah battery which lasts for a decent mount of time.

Weight

PowerSmart PS76210A weighs 11.7 lbs – making it twice as heavy as most of its competitors. Heavier unit means more muscle fatigue.

PowerSmart PS76210A has Automatic Feed Spool system but it’s a bit finicky.

Flaws

Restringing the head is difficult. Head itself isn’t adjustable as well.

Many consumers have complained about unit unable to hold the battery – it seems like locking mechanism often is faulty. The unit doesn’t feel fragile but overall build quality is questionable.

Conclusions

Despite the decent cutting performance due to some of its flaws PowerSmart PS76210A isn’t among the best ones in its price class.
