Pohl Schmitt 1.7L Electric Kettle Review
Pohl Schmitt KE-100 is electric kettle that can hold up to 1.7 liters of water. It has 1500 watt power supply.
Performance
Pohl Schmitt KE-100 brings water to boil pretty fast. Minimum capacity of water (0.5 liters) takes less than 2 minutes to heat up whereas maximum capacity (1.7 liters) takes 5-7 minutes.
With that being said majority of modern electric kettles have 1500 watt power supply so they heat up water in roughly same amount of time. Pohl Schmitt KE-100 works just fine which is what matters the most for a budget priced kettle.
Materials
Pohl Schmitt KE-100 electric kettle is mostly made from borosilicate glass and stainless steel. It’s not compltely plastic free as it’s usually the case with electric kettles at this price point. There is a small plastic part in the lid and even thought water doesn’t touch it directly the steam will.
Features
Pohl Schmitt KE-100 has auto-shutoff and boil-dry protection safety features.
The bottom of glass pot as well the ring on the metal body illuminates in blue color when electric kettle is turned on (when it heats water).
Verdict
Pohl Schmitt KE-100 performs about the same as other kettles at this price but looks better than most.
