PHISINIC 800W 6.5QT Stand Mixer Review

PHISINIC SM-1522YM is a stand mixer with 800 watt motor and 6.5 quart mixing bowl. It’s usually sold at significantly lower price than KitchenAid stand mixers so is it a worthy alternative?

Performance

PHISINIC SM-1522YM works really well. The motor is powerful and doesn’t struggle even with larger amounts of stiff, hard doughs.

It does mix quite well too however there is one issue – attachments doesn’t cover the bottom of the bowl so sometimes you have to stop and scrape the ingredients in the bottom. Other than that it works well. Only other thing you could complain is that motor is a bit noisy but it’s not terribly loud.

KitchenAid stand mixers do mix a bit better but the difference isn’t as big as the difference in price tag.

Quality

PHISINIC SM-1522YM stand mixer feels sturdy and well made. The build-quality is significantly better compared to cheaper stand mixers but it’s not quite as good as KitchenAid models.

The housing is made of die-cast aluminum which is a huge advantage over similarly priced and cheaper stand mixers which usually have plastic housing.

Some parts do feel a bit cheap (like speed dial) but it’s not too bad, for the money you really can’t complain about anything.

Verdict

For the money PHISINIC SM-1522YM is an outstanding stand mixer. It’s not quite as good as KitchenAid models but it’s not that far off. If you want to save some money it’s a viable alternative to more expensive KitchenAid stand mixers but if you want the best then KitchenAid is still the way to go.
