Phiestina PH-46BD 46-Bottle Dual-Zone 24-Inch Wine Cooler Review

Phiestina PH-46BD is a 24-inch wide dual-zone compressor cooled wine cooler that can hold up to 46 bottles of wine.

Upper temperature zone features two shelves with temperature adjustable from 40°F to 50°F making it perfect for white wines, whereas lower temperature zone has four shelves and with temperature adjustable from 50°F to 66°F is suited for reds.

Operation

Phiestina PH-46BD works well for the most part but you might experience some nuances. For example temperature might not be accurate at times or fluctuate a bit. Most of the time it’s quite accurate and constant though. If temperatures fluctuates constantly or is inaccurate by more than couple degrees you should contact manufacturer.

Capacity

Chamber volume is 150 liters which is enough to fit up to 46 bottles of wine. Keyword here is “up to” as depending on size of the bottles the actual amount you can fit can be under 40.

Phiestina PH-46BD has 5 shelves with stoppers that prevent shelf from rolling out too much and making your bottles fall off. They are removable.

Controls

Each temperature zone has its separate LCD display (shows set temperature) and buttons for adjusting temperature. Other than that there are two more buttons – for turning interior light on or off and for switching between Celsius and Fahrenheit temperature scales.

Features

Phiestina PH-46BD features dual pane glass door. It has front vent so it can be installed under counter but you can also leave it freestanding if that’s what you wish. Door hinge is reversible.

Phiestina PH-46BD is a decent wine cooler but it’s not perfect. Whether it’s good value for money is open for interpretation. On one hand it’s not cheap yet finding a better wine cooler with similar capacity for similar price will probably be impossible. Other similarly sized and priced wine coolers are quite similar to PH-46BD.
