Paula Deen 8.5QT 1700-Watt Air Fryer Review – PDAF8TX-2

Paula Deen PDAF8TX-2 is an air fryer with 8.5 quart cooking capacity. It can cook in temperatures up to 430°F whereas most other air fryers in this price class only go as high as 400°F. This doesn’t necessarily make it a good air fryer so lets find out if it is!

Cooking

Paula Deen 8.5QT air fryer cooks fast and evenly, food comes out tasting great. French fries are crispy (especially if you spray a bit of oil on them) and meat is tender and juicy.

Control panel

Control panel is very basic which means it doesn’t have some of the features other air fryers do but on the other hand it’s very simple to use. You basically get two dials – one for temperature adjustment and the other one for cooking time. Just selected your desired settings and start cooking, it doesn’t get any easier than that.

Accessories

Paula Deen 8.5-quart air fryer comes with some nice accessories which is not always the case for air fryers at this price point. Accessories it comes with includes mesh basket, griddle insert, grill insert, cooking insert and divider.

Features

Paula Deen 8.5-quart air fryer is ETL Listed meaning it has been tested to set safety standards and complies with accepted national standards. Cookware has FDA-compliant ceramic non-stick coating.

Conclusions

Paula Deen PDAF8TX-2 is a pretty good air fryer overall. It’s pretty basic but it does cook well and isn’t expensive.
