NutriChef PKSTIND48 works just like induction cooktop should perform – it heats up very fast and temperature is distributed fairly evenly (it might be a bit colder on edges). One nice thing about this unit is that it can support pretty large pots

You share the 1800 watt power supply between the two burners meaning if one of them is using 1,000 watts the other can use no more than 800.

This reflects on temperatures too – you might notice that if you increase temperature for one of the burners the temperature for the other one might be automatically decreased. You can’t actually use higher temperature settings on both burners at the same time which can in some situations defeat the purpose of having two burners. You can have a total of ~700°F across the two of them.

There are 8 different temperature settings: 140°F, 210°F, 260°F, 300°F, 350°F, 390°F, 430°F, 460°F. There are also 3 cooking modes: fry, steam and water. It seems like there’s no actual difference between how they work other than the default settings they use.

Keep in mind that this is induction cooktop meaning it will only work with magnetic cookware like steel, cast iron, enameled iron, stainless steel.

Noise

Fans are pretty loud. Not really an issue for most consumers but some might find them infruating. Expect it to run for a minute or so after you finish cooking so the cooktop is properly cooled down.

Clean up

Surface is made of ceramic tempered glass which is easy to keep clean.

NutriChef PKSTIND48 double induction cooktop is equipped with LCD display and touch sensitive buttons. It has a countdown timer feature.

Unlike some models you can’t switch to Celsius – this portable cooktop only shows Fahrenheit.

NutriChef PKSTIND48 double induction cooktop works fairly well however there are some nuances or flaws because of which this is not the model that everyone will like.
