MEISON SYK-004 1.5L Electric Kettle Review

MEISON SYK-004 is affordable electric kettle with 1200 watt heating element and 1.5 liter water capacity.

Performance

MEISON SYK-004 heats up water reasonably fast. It’s slightly less powerful than many other models which usually have 1500 watt heating element however most kettles also have 1.7 liter capacity – 0.2 liters more than MEISON so the difference in capacity offsets the difference in power.

The interior is made of stainless steel however there is a small plastic part at the very top. Luckily water doesn’t touch it but hot steam does.

Quality

MEISON SYK-004 feels pretty well built for the money. With that being said some users did report some issues with corrosion but it’s hard to estimate how common they are.

Features

MEISON SYK-004 has auto shut off and boil dry protection. The housing is double wall design allowing water to stay warm for longer while making outside of the kettle cooler.

Other

To clean MEISON 1.5L electric kettle fill it with 1.5 liters of water, add some vinegar or citric acid, boil the mixture and then pour it out.

Verdict

MEISON SYK-004 is a pretty decent kettle for the money. It’s not perfect but for most consumers it’s good enough.
