LUBY GH23CL cooks pretty good considering how affordable it’s. It cooks evenly however sometimes temperatures can be less accurate than with higher-end models. You can certainly have delicious results however this might not be the best choice for toasting as there really isn’t a toasting function.

In fact it doesn’t have any cooking functions like more expensive models do. You can however choose which heating elements to use: top, bottom or both.

Controls

LUBY convection toaster oven is equipped with 3 knobs for selecting temperature, time and heating element.

One of the nuances is that you can’t turn down time knob. If you select time that’s too long you will just have to wait it run out on its own. Mechanical timer can also be innacurate.

LUBY convection toaster oven comes with wire rack, bake pan and crumb tray.

Possible issues

Some consumers have complained about burnt smell when cooking. This can happen due to protective substance on heating elements. You can get rid of this protective substance by just cooking nothing or preferably cooking sliced pieces of lemon if you can.

Another thing you might not like is that exterior can get quite hot however this will be the case with most if not all inexpensive models.

Verdict

LUBY GH23CL might be fine if you want something very inexpensive however make no mistake – it’s not as good as more expensive models. It’s far from perfect and does have some flaws but at least it cooks reasonably well.
