LOUTYTUO foldable electric kettle bring water to boil pretty fast – within few mintues. It has power supply of 700 watts which is less than your typical kettle however because of smaller capacity it heats up water just as fast if not faster.

Water tastes pure with no plastic like taste or smell which you might expect since it’s mostly made of BPA free food grade silicone. Some consumers have reported plastic taste initially however it goes away with few boiling cycles and doesn’t seem to be present with most units.

Make sure you don’t overfill it as otherwise water will spit out. Also be careful to pour water slowly as otherwise hot steam coming out of the kettle might hurt your hand.

Features

Handle is removable which allows it to be folded into more compact package (you can connect it with base horizontally) however when inserted vertically it could be more secure. Heating plate, lid and support ring are made of 304 stainless steel.

One particularly great feature for traveling is the ability to switch voltage to either 110V or 220V. This means it’s compatible with most country outlets however it only comes with US type plug.

Possible issues

Some consumers have reported silicone disintegrating into water but this seems to be an uncommon problem that might be attributed to defective units.

LOUTYTUO foldable electric kettle is not perfect and it does feel a bit overpriced for what it’s however it’s great for traveling and works just fine.
