LITBOOS Portable Ice Maker Machine (Review)

LITBOOS IML-002-1 portable ice maker machine can produce up to 26 pounds of ice cubes per 24 hours. It makes a batch of 9 bullet shaped ice cubes in 7-9 minutes according to manufacturer which seems to be pretty much spot on. Sometimes it can make a bit less or more time. Occasionally a batch can take a bit less or more time than that to be made but only by a minute or two.

Ice cube quality is decent although first couple batches might produce smaller ice cubes than following ones. Be warned that ice tray is not refrigerated so ice cubes will eventually melt if left inside.

It does make a bit of noise – it’s not obnoxiously loud but in certain situations it can be too loud.

Features

LITBOOS IML-002-1 is pretty featureless and doesn’t have features many other ice makers have like differect ice cube size options but it does have some important basic features like “full ice basket” and “empty water reservoir” warnings.

Some just want a basic ice maker that is as simple to use as possible and LITBOOS IML-002-1 does excel that. It only has 1 button – obviously for turning the machine on or off. Doesn’t get any simpler than that.

LITBOOS IML-002-1 does have a very conveniently placed drain hole and even nickel-plated ice lattice that’s corrosion resistant.

Ice tray & water reservoir

Ice tray can hold 1.5 pounds of ice cubes – less than average in its class but by not a large margin. It takes a bit more than hour to fill it up. Water reservoir can hold 1.7 liters (~57 oz) of water.

Dimensions and weight

LITBOOS IML-002-1 measures 9.5 x 13 x 14.1 inches. It weighs 23 pounds.

Other

LITBOOS IML-002-1 is made of stainless steel or to be more specific – its housing is. It’s also ETL certified and comes with BPA-free ice scoop.

Conclusions
