KUCCU Stand Mixer Review

KUCCU SM-1508 stand mixer is equipped with powerful 660 watt motor and large 8.5-quart mixing bowl yet is quite affordable for a stand mixer of this caliber. Is it any good?

Performance

KUCCU SM-1508 stand mixer is indeed quite powerful and certainly can handle larger batches of even hard doughs like bread. Even so in the manual you will find that you shouldn’t run this stand mixer for more 10 minutes continuously.

It does suffer from a problem common to cheap stand mixers. Attachments don’t reach the whole bowl fully (there’s free space left on corners and bottom). This results to some ingredients not being mixed and you having to scrape them.

Quality

For a stand mixer that’s very cheap for what it offers the quality is very unlikely to be great and it isn’t. KUCCU stand mixer is mostly made of plastic which makes it feel cheap, not too sturdy and maybe even a bit like a toy stand mixer.

Attachments

KUCCU SM-1508 stand mixer comes with beater, whisk and dough hook. It also comes with pouring shield but it’s hard to insert.

KUCCU SM-1508 stand mixer features tilt-head design and non-slip pads that keep it stay put during mixing.

Verdict

Is KUCCU SM-1508 a good stand mixer for the money? It’s hard to say. It’s overall a subpar stand mixer compared to more expensive models like KitchenAid Professional 600 Series, however it’s quite cheap for what it offers. If you want to save money you will have to give some things up and whether it’s worth it is up to you to decide. Perhaps buying a more expensive but higher quality stand mixer is cheaper long-term as it might last longer.
