Koolatron WC08 Urban Series is thermoelectric wine cooler with 0.8 cubic foot capacity enough to fit 8 bottles. Claimed 8 bottle capacity is true for standard sized 750mL wine bottles, large sized bottles might not fit or might require you to remove shelve.

Operation

Temperature accuracy is usually within 1 degree range which is really good for wine cooler this cheap. You can adjust temperature from 46 to 66°F (8 to 18°C) which covers the perfect temperature range for almost all types of wine (except Asti and Rose which are generally best served at 45°F).

Being thermoelectric wine cooler it’s more environmentally friendly and quieter (even though fan can be a bit noisy) than compressor coolers generally are.

Controls

Koolatron WC08 has a simple LCD display that shows selected temperature (set on Celsius temperature scale from factory) and three buttons – two for adjusting temperature and another one for turning interior light on/off and switching between Celsius and Fahrenheit temperature scales (try to hold the button).

Features

Koolatron WC08 has double paned thermopane glass door for UV ray protection with airtight seal, adjustable legs and light inside you can turn on but it’s not very bright.

Reliability

Some consumers have reported their units lasting less than 1 year so long-term reliability might be an issue.
