Ivation IVFWCC121LB is a compressor cooled wine cooler with 12 bottle capacity and temperature adjustable from 41 to 64 degrees Fahrenheit.

Operation

Before you turn on Ivation IVFWCC121LB wine cooler for the first time you have to let it sit upright for 3 hours to allow coolant fluids to settle in. Once that’s done it cool down pretty fast however temperature control is not constant. Temperature does fluctuate and sometimes fluctuations can be pretty significant – by up to 10 degrees. On the upside it’s pretty quiet albeit not completely noiseless.

It works just fine for keeping you beverages generally cool but if you want to get the best flavor out of your wine precise temperature control is a must and this wine cooler just doesn’t have that. You shouldn’t store expensive wine in this wine cooler.

Capacity

Ivation IVFWCC121LB holds up to 12 bottles of wine but actual holding capacity depends on bottle size. You will be able to fit 12 bottles inside only if you have standard sized 750mL wine bottles, if they are just tiny bit wider you will be able to fit 8 at best.

Controls

Ivation IVFWCC121LB is equipped with LCD display that shows selected temperature (don’t confuse it with actual temperature in chamber, to find that out you will need to put a thermometer inside) and 4 buttons: One for unlocking control panel, another one for turning interior light on/off or switching between Celsius and Fahrenheit temperature scales (single press vs holding) as well 2 more buttons for temperature adjustment in 1 degree increments.

Ivation IVFWCC121LB wine cooler has double-paned glass door that protects wine from UV rays and provides airtight seal. The door can be locked to prevent your kids or other persons having access to your beverages.

Ivation IVFWCC121LB is a mediocre wine cooler. It’s relatively inexpensive and does keep beverages cool but it does have flaws like temperature fluctuations which means it will keep your wine cool but it will almost never be at the perfect temperature.
