Igloo Countertop Ice Maker Review

Igloo ICEB26BK countertop ice maker makes a batch of 9 bullet shaped ice cubes in (usually) 7-8 minutes. It can make up to 26 lbs of ice in 24 hours, however realistically it will make around 18-20. Ice quality is ok but not great. Ice is not dense and is soft, straight out of machine it melts fast in drinks and while in ice basket ice cubes can freeze together as they come out pretty wet.  Igloo ice maker can make ice cubes of two different sizes.

Ice basket is removable with 2 lb capacity which is more than most other ice makers of this type/price. Water reservoir capacity is 0.75 gallons, that’s more than most too! Igloo ICEB26BK weighs 19.4 lbs and is 9.6 inches wide, 14.7 inches tall and 12.4 inches deep.

Igloo ICEB26BK ice maker housing is made of plastic. It’s reasonably sturdy but obviously doesn’t feel as well made or heavy duty as units made of metal. It will most likely last if you don’t abuse it but be aware that plastic isn’t particularly sturdy material so you have to handle it with care.

Overall Igloo ICEB26BK is okay’ish ice maker but it’s not among the best in its price category.
