Performance

Does Hamilton Beach 4-Quart stand mixer work as well as 2-3 times more expensive stand mixers (like KitchenAid Artisan or KitchenAid 600 Series)? No, it doesn’t. However as a budget priced stand mixer it works reasonably well with some caveats.

Sometimes you might have to scrape bowl as the beater doesn’t fully cover edges of mixing bowl. Another slight flaw is that adding ingredients while the stand mixer is running is a bit difficult as there’s not much free space left. Other than that it works pretty well. Motor power feels adequate for the bowl size and it never seems to struggle.

Quality

The quality of Hamilton Beach 4-Quart stand mixer isn’t as good as more expensive KitchenAid models but that’s to be expected. The housing is made of plastic (which makes it lighter and easier to carry) and the attachments feel less sturdy. Mixing bowl is made of stainless steel so no complaints here.

Overall quality isn’t bad but naturally Hamilton Beach 4-Quart stand mixer is not as well made as more expensive stand mixers.

Hamilton Beach 63391 is a decent stand mixer for the money. It’s not as good as more expensive models mainly for 2 reasons: It doesn’t mix as well (some ingredients might get stuck at sides as beater doesn’t fully cover sides) and it doesn’t feel as well made but for those looking for a budget priced stand mixer it can be a decent alternative.
