GoWISE USA GW22971 7-Quart Air Fryer & Dehydrator Review

GoWISE USA GW22971 is a multifunctional air fryer with 7 quart air fryer. Not only it can cook in temperatures from 180°F to 400°F it can also dehydrate food for 2 to 24 hours in temperatures from 90°F to 170°F.

Cooking

GoWISE USA GW22971 cooks food delicious. It turns out crispy where you want it to be without losing any juices inside. It also seems to cook food pretty fast, faster than some other models. Dehydrator feature works well too.

For simpler cooking GoWISE USA GW22971 has 8 presets (air fry, roast, broil, bake, grill, dehydrate, keep warm and preheat) but most consumers will mostly end up using manual controls instead.

Controls

GoWISE USA GW22971 7 quart air fryer has LCD display and touch sensitive buttons. There’s 15 buttons in total: 8 of them are presets, 4 of them are for adjustments (temperature and time) and the rest 3 are “Sound” (turns off button sound), “Power/Start/Pause” and “Alarm” (you can set alarm reminder after 5, 10, 15 or 30 minutes).

Temperature is adjusted in 5 degree increments which allows you to follow more recipes precisely as many air fryers adjust temperature in 10 degree increments. For cooking time can be adjusted from 1 to 60 minutes in 1 minute increments whereas for dehydrated from 2 hours to 24 hours in 30 minute increments.

As previously mentioned GoWISE USA GW22971 7 quart air fryer has 8 presets. They are as follows:

• Air Fry: 400°F for 15 minutes
• Roast: 350°F for 20 minutes
• Broil: 400°F for 10 minutes
• Dehydrate: 130°F for 4 hours
• Grill: 370°F for 20 minutes
• Bake: 350°F for 25 minutes
• Preheat: 180°F for 5 minutes
• Keep Warm: 180°F for 30 minutes

Features

Cooking basket has PFOA-free non-stick coating and it measures 9.9″ by 9.75″ by 5.5″. It’s also equipped with removable crisper tray which allows heat to circulate around the food to give it a crispy taste and also has PFOA-free non-stick coating.

GoWISE USA GW22971 also comes with three stackable mesh racks.

Conclusions

GoWISE USA GW22971 is one of the better air fryers with 7 quart basket capacity. It cooks well and offers more functionality than most air fryers in its price class. It’s not quite as good as COSORI AF701-CS XL but it’s not far off and COSORI generally retails at higher price.
