GoWISE USA 14.7-Quart Air Fryer Review (GW44805)

GoWISE USA GW44805 is an air fryer with 14-7 quart capacity. It can cook in temperatures ranging from 120°F to 450°F (most air fryers only go from 180°F to 400°F). Also whereas most air fryer have only 1 heating element GoWISE USA GW44805 has two – one at the bottom and another one on top. So far everything seems good but is GW44805 really a good air fryer? Cooking

GoWISE USA GW44805 cooks reasonably well and food comes out tasting good however other air fryers can cook even better. Meat and french fries are less crispy compared to when cooked with competing models. Horizontally temperature seems to be distributed evenly as food on a single tray is cooked evenly.

GoWISE USA GW44805 has rotisserie function but a normal sized chicken won’t fit, the space you have is more appropriate for a Cornish Hen. To use rotisserie function select “Chicken“ or “Kebab“ preset.

It also has three tray levels so you can cook different foods at the same time or larger amount of same food. However despite having heating elements on top and bottom it seems that temperature isn’t distributed evenly (vertically) as food on higher tray gets overcooked or the one on bottom will be undercooked.

Another flaw of this air fryer is that it gets warm. Control panel and handle doesn’t get warm enough to burn you but the stainless steel housing might.

GoWISE USA GW44805 air fryer has 11 presets: “French Fries”, “Wings”, “Fish”, “Chicken”, “Pizza (frozen)”, “Kebab”, “Broil”, “Grill”, “Bake”, “Toast” and “Dehydrate”.

Accessories

GoWISE USA GW44805 air fryer comes with stainless steel silicone-tipped tongs, heavy duty cast aluminum nonstick grill plate, two mesh racks, shallow mesh basket, rotisserie rod and forks, rotisserie cage, rotisserie skewers and a drip pan.

Noise

GoWISE USA GW44805 air fryer is a bit louder than air fryers usually are, mostly due to its loud fan.

Reliability

Majority of consumer feedback about this model is positive however complaints about reliability are more common than with other air fryers. The amount of complaints about GoWISE USA GW44805 failing after about 1 year of use is a bit concerning.

Conclusions

Even though majority of consumers are satisfied with their GoWISE USA GW44805 air fryer it does have some flaws. It also seems that it’s less likely it will last for years to come than some of the competing models.
