Giantex OP3243 is a 2-burner portable gas grill with 266.5 square inches (20.5’’ x 13’’) cooking area. Each burner can output 10,000 BTU/hour making up for a total of 20,000 BTU per hour.

Cooking with Giantex OP3243 Portable Gas Grill

Giantex OP3243 heats up fast – gets up to 400°F in about 3 minutes. It works quite well – sears well, gives nice grill marks like a proper grill and provides juicy results. There are some hot spots so it’s not perfect but you can’t expect it to perform as well as large stationary gas grills.

With adjustable burner knobs you can easily control the heat anywhere from 250°F to 500+°F. Giantex portable gas grill works fairly well in windy conditions but if you have any problems then turn front of the grill facing the wind.

It’s not large enough to cook turkeys and large chickens but cooking surface is perfect for 2-4 people. It can cook for more people too in a reasonable time if necessary.

Giantex OP3243 is a portable grill – don’t expect it to be as good as a large and expensive stationary unit, however it works very well for a portable unit.

Quality

Giantex portable gas grill is mostly made of 430 stainless steel so it’s unlikely it will rust like cheaper models. Overall the quality is noticeably better compared to most portable grills however it’s not perfect – if you pay attention you can complain about some things not being as well engineered as you would like. For example legs could be sturdier and provide more stability than they do.

Overall quality is decent but not great. There’s a lot of room for improvement.

Portability

Giantex OP3243 weighs 22 pounds and measures 22’’ by 18’’ by 15’’ inches. It’s not the smallest nor the lightest portable grill however it’s not too heavy or too large not to be called portable.

Verdict

Giantex OP3243 isn’t perfect but it’s better than large majority of other portable gas grill.
