George Foreman GFS0090SB Open Grate Smokeless Grill

George Foreman GFS0090SB cooks well and heat distribution is even. It would be nice if it could get a bit hotter. It does take longer to cook and as a result can dry out meat a bit. As you can see it’s not perfect but it does provide great tasting results most of the time so you could say it works fairly well.

Despite being advertised as family sized it really isn’t. 90 square inches is adequate to cook for 1, maybe 2 persons at most but for a larger family you will have to cook in multiple batches.

Another thing that some might not like is that temperature dial is marked for low, medium and high instead of showing temperatures.

Control panel

Controls of George Foreman open grate smokeless grill are fairly basic but also simple to use. You have a dial for temperature adjustment as well indicator light that shows whether the grill has achieved selected temperature or not.

Clean up

Drip tray and grill plate are removable as well dishwasher-safe so you shouldn’t have a hard time cleaning them.

Verdict

George Foreman GFS0090SB works fairly well. There’s some room for improvement (i.e. ability to get hotter) but despite some of the drawbacks it’s still a decent unit that provides delicious results most of the time. With that being said it wouldn’t be a bad idea to also consider some of the competitor products as alternatives.
