GE digital air fryer toaster oven cooks evenly and most of the food comes out delicious. It makes meat tender and convection mode makes food crispy. Meals like chicken, pizza, french fries, garlic bread, onion rings and others comes out tasting great.

Preheat period is included in the timer countdown but it still cooks faster than a regular oven and doesn’t heat up your whole house like one.

GE digital air fryer toaster oven has 8 cooking modes: air fry, bake, broil, convection, keep warm, proof, roast and toast. It doesn’t have “bagel” mode that many toaster ovens have however it does have “Proof” which most don’t. “Proof’’ cooking mode is for letting yeast doughs to rise in low temperatures and allow fermentation to happen before baking.

The one feature that doesn’t work great is ‘’toast’’. Toasting takes too long and one side is more toasted than the other. “Broil” mode works reasonably well but sometimes results could be better. Rest of the modes work well.

GE makes two very similar air fryer toaster ovens: GE G9OAAASSPSS (digital model) and GE G9OAABSSPSS (mechanical model), so what are the differences between the two?

The most obvious one is that one has digital controls whereas other uses mechanical. Digital controls are more popular because they are more accurate. Digital model also had LCD display screen whereas mechanical model has no screen at all.

Another difference you might have not notice at first glance is that digital model has 1 more cooking mode (Proof). Other than these two differences it seems like they are the same for the most part.

Verdict

GE digital air fryer toaster oven is well made and most of the time cooks great. It’s not the best air fryer toaster oven you can buy however it’s very affordable for its size making it a great value for money.
