FIMEI 5.5-Quart Stand Mixer Review

FIMEI 5.5-Quart stand mixer is equipped with 500 watt motor. It’s one of the most affordable stand mixers you can currently purchase but is it any good?

Performance

FIMEI 5.5-Quart stand mixer does the job but it’s not as good as more expensive models.

Attachments doesn’t reach the bottom of the bowl so the stuff there remains unmixed. Some of the stuff remains unmixed on sides too. This means you have to stop and scrape. You also can’t add ingredients while mixing like you can with more expensive models – you have to stop the mixer, tilt the head up and only then you can add ingredients or scrape insides of the bowl.

It’s quite noisy too.

Quality

Being a cheaper model the build quality won’t be the best. FIMEI 5.5-Quart stand mixer doesn’t feel as sturdy as higher-end models. Some parts, like controls, feel cheap.

FIMEI stand mixer comes with C-shape dough hook, Y-shape flat beater and stainless steel wire whip.

Verdict

FIMEI 5.5-Quart stand mixer is far from great but it works. You can’t really compare it to high end models like KitchenAid KSM150PS Artisan but if you need a cheap stand mixer and are ready to live with the flaws then it might be just worth the money, just have realistic expectations.
