Eureka Olympus 75 E HS Espresso Grinder Review

Eureka Olympus 75 E HS is commercial grade espresso grinder. It’s equipped with 900 watt motor and 75mm hardened steel flat burrs that grind at 1,400 RPM.

Grinding

Eureka Olympus 75 E HS uses same burr set as Eureka Atom 75 so performance is quite similar. They both are amazing for espresso with their ability to grind very fine and fast with superb consistency. The main difference between the two is that Eureka Atom 75 has built-in sound insulation that makes it a lot less quiet, however the downside of this is that there’s more heat transfer if you do back-to-back shots.

There’s a little bit of retention but not much. Grind weight output is very consistent between different cycles with very slight variation.

Controls

Eureka Olympus 75 E HS is one of the simplest burr coffee grinders to use. It has LCD display and 4 buttons. Two of the buttons are for adjusting grinding time (in 0.05 second increments) whereas the other two are selecting single or double shot mode. You can also grind manually.

Grind size is adjusted with a stepless knob located on the top of the grinder.

Features

Both the chute and portafilter fork (holder) are adjustable.

Conclusions

Eureka Olympus 75 E HS is a great espresso grinder designed with commercial use in made, however there’s some heat transfer if you do back-to-back shots so it’s not necessarily the grinder to get if you plan to grind all day long non stop. If you need to grind every few minutes then it will do the job. For home use Eureka Atom 75 is slightly better due to being significantly quieter.
