Eureka Mignon Brew Pro Coffee Grinder Review

Eureka Mignon Brew Pro is a coffee grinder with 55mm hardened steel flat burrs that grind at 1350 revolution per minute. It has 310 watt motor and can grind 1.9 to 2.5 grams of coffee beans per second.

Grinding

Eureka Mignon Brew Pro is best for medium coarseness grinds like Drip coffee. Consistency for medium type of grinds is really good. If you brew drip coffee or pour over then this grinder won’t disappoint you.

If you grind coarse (think French Press) then you will start to notice some inconsistencies. Getting less uniform grinds when you go coarser is the case for nearly all burr grinders so you can’t really say this is a flaw when compared to competitors. Some grinders can grind ever coarser than Brew Pro but overall it’s still pretty good for French Press or Cold Brew.

Eureka Mignon Brew Pro really isn’t a grinder for finer grinds like espresso. Even though it does have espresso grind setting it doesn’t grind all that fine. If you drink espresso or Turkish coffee there are better grinders available in this price class.

What about retention? There’s basically none!

Noise

Burr grinders are typically quite noisy. That’s not the case for Eureka Mignon Brew Pro however. As you would expect it’s not silent, but it’s quieter than most other burr grinders.

Controls

Eureka Mignon Brew Pro has touch-sensitive display with 4 buttons. Two of them are for adjusting grinding time and the other two are for selecting amount of cups to be grinded (1 or 2).

There’s also a knob for adjusting grind coarseness as well on/off switch on the right side of the grinder.

To start grinding coffee you simply place grounds container under the outlet chute which will make it touch grinding button and trigger the grinding process.

Size and weight

Eureka Mignon Brew Pro coffee burr grinder weighs 12.3 pounds and measures 4.72 inches wide, 7.5 inches deep and 13.8 inches high.

Conclusions

There’s no doubt Eureka Mignon Brew Pro is a good grinder for its purposes but the real question is it worth the money? It depends. Grinding performance is adequate for the pricing but some less expensive burr grinders do offer better value for money even if they don’t grind as well. If you are willing to spend a bit more and don’t drink espresso then Brew Pro is worth consideration.
