Elite Gourmet EMG6505G heats up fast, cooks fast and there is nearly no smoke. It also has a drip tray and it is well designed as grease indeed drains into it.

Overall Elite Gourmet EMG6505G works great. It grills really well and food comes out delicious.

If you could make one improvement it would be bigger drip tray but the grill is pretty nice overall nonetheless.

Controls

Elite Gourmet EMG6505G has thermostat control dial with which you control the temperature. It’s easy to use however there are no temperature markings which is weird because the 14-inch model has them!

Clean up

Base, grill plate, lid and drip tray are removable and dishwasher safe which makes clean up fairly effortless. Grill plate also has PFOA-free nonstick coating so nothing typically sticks to it.

Verdict

Elite Gourmet EMG6505G heats up fast, cooks well, is nearly smokeless and is easy to use! There are a couple things you could nitpick about (for example some plastic parts could be sturdier) if you really wanted to but this is a very affordable unit so it wouldn’t really be fair or justified.
