EGO Power+ SNT2100 Snow Blower Review

EGO Power+ SNT2100 is battery powered 56 Volt snow blower with brushless motor. It has clearing width of 21 inches and depth of 13. Can EGO Power+ SNT2100 compete with Snow Joe snow blowers?

Performance

Considering the price the performance is good for a battery powered snow blower.

It clears 12 inches of light snow almost effortlessly and can deal with ~6 inches of wet snow reasonably well too, however it sometimes does tend to clog up a lot when dealing with wet, slushy snow.

It throws snow a good distance good too but not as far as advertised (up to) 35 feet.

Ease of use

EGO Power+ SNT2100 weighs just 53.35 pounds making it a lot lighter than gas snow blowers. Although it’s not self-propelled due to lightweight it’s not hard to push and is rather easy to maneuver even in tight spaces.

Battery

EGO Power+ SNT2100 is shipped without batteries or chargers – you have to purchase them separately. There are different types of batteries available so battery life heavily depends on what kind of batteries you use and condition of snow.

Features

It has two built-in LED headlights which are handy if you are cleaning your driveway early in the morning or late in the evening when it’s dark outside.

Chute rotates 180 degrees.

Conclusions

EGO Power+ SNT2100 is pretty basic snow blower so there is not much to say about it but for the price it performs well for a battery powered one. It’s not as powerful as some similarly prices gas snow blowers, like PowerSmart PSS2240-X or PowerSmart DB7622H, but being electric snow blower it has its advantages – less noise and no dealing with maintenance or fumes.

So can it compete with Snow Joe snow blowers? Yes, it can!
