Earthwise SN70016 Electric Corded Snow Shovel (Review)

Earthwise SN70016 is electric corded snow shovel with 12 Amp motor. Manufacturer claims it can move 430 lbs of snow per minute

Performance

Earthwise SN70016 has clearing width of 16 inches and intake height of 8 inches.

It’s not comparable to actual snow blower but for some cases it’s sufficient enough. It’s really made to tackle up to 4 inches of light snow – it might handle more than that but it will struggle and might actually break. It does throw fluffy snow pretty far though.

Quality

It’s doesn’t feel very sturdy and it’s questionable how long it will last – especially the plastic auger. If you don’t abuse it and only use it in light snow then maybe it can last for a while but you should avoid using it in heavy, deep snow.

Some consumers have also complained about missing parts upon receiving the unit.

Features

Earthwise SN70016 has 6 inch wheels. It has Auxiliary handle that’s adjustable to match your height and also has cord retention hook. This unit is corded so you will have to deal with cord but battery powered ones are available too.

Assembly

Assembly takes less than 30 minutes to complete and is pretty simple to do.

Conclusions

It’s not a substitute to a proper snow blower but for light, fluffy snow it’s sufficient and much faster that cleaning your driveway with a shovel. However it’s not that sturdy and might not last long.
