Quality

Duramax 71-gallon deck box is made of UV-resistant polypropylene plastic resin. Panels are thin and assembled unit does feel fragile which is kinda to be expected since it’s rather inexpensive.

For some lacking sturdiness will be a deal-breaker, for others it won’t matter that much as long as the deck box can be used for storing items just fine. You can live with the lack of robustness of Duramax 71-gallon deck box with one exception – hinges are made of plastic and feel very fragile which makes you doubt if they can last.

It’s a cheap deck box. Some can live with it, others can’t.

Weatherproofness

Duramax 86601 Durabox seems to be watertight for the most part. It’s unlikely rain water will get inside. If bottom gets submerged it’s likely a different story though.
