DR MILLS DM-7441 Electric Coffee/Dried Spice Grinder Review

DR MILLS DM-7441 is 150 watt electric grinder for coffee and dried spices. It has bean hopper with 1.8 oz (50 grams) capacity and can grind 7 cups worth of coffee at a time.

Grinding

Grind performance is great for a blade grinder. It grinds fast and quietly (for a coffee grinder). Grind is very even for a blade grinder. Of course it’s not quite as good as with burr grinder but they are at a different price point.

Grind fineness is also kinda adjustable – the longer you grind the finer the grind will be. If you grind for around 25-30 seconds the grind is very fine, powder like. Produces coarse grind in 10 seconds or less. Medium grind is somewhere in-between.

Grinds dry spices to optimal fineness well too. Should be able to grind nuts, seeds and grains just fine.

Controls

Blade grinders most of the time have very basic controls and DR MILLS DM-7441 is not exception. It has a single button and that’s obviously for grinding. As long as you hold it, it grinds.

Features

Blade and cup are made of stainless steel. DR MILLS DM-7441 is also a BPA free grinder. It comes with a brush for cleaning that has cup on the other end for pouring.

DR MILLS DM-7441 electric coffee grinder has thermal protection – if you run it for too long and it overheats it will shut off automatically and will work again after about half an hour or so.

Cup is not removable, only the lid is.

Size

DR MILLS DM-7441 electric coffee grinder is 4 inches wide and 7 inches tall.

Conclusions
