DOBBOR 660W 9.5QT Stand Mixer

DOBBOR SM1553 is a stand mixer with 660 watt motor and 9.5-quart mixing bowl. Being a lot more affordable than KitchenAid KSM7581 Professional 7-Quart stand mixer can it be a viable alternative?

Performance

DOBBOR SM1553 works pretty well for a budget price stand mixer but it’s not as good as a Kitchenaid. Sometimes some of the ingredients can get stuck to the sides requiring you to scrape them down to mix everything thoroughly. This

The motor is quite powerful however in rare cases it can overheat (when you are doing large batches) and in such case mixer will automatically turn off. If this happens you should unplug it and let it rest for 20-30 minutes. It can be very annoying when this happens but fortunately it’s a rare occurrence.

DOBBOR 9.5-quart stand mixer has 6 speed settings and Pulse mode. Overall it doesn’t perform as well as a KitchenAid KSM7581 however it works reasonably well but can struggle with larger batches or very stiff dough.

Quality

DOBBOR 9.5-quart stand mixer is mostly made of plastic so it’s not as sturdy as KitchenAid models. On the upside because it’s made of plastic it’s a lot lighter than a KitchenAid stand mixers making it easier to carry.

Features

DOBBOR SM1553 features tilt-head design and is equipped with 5 suction cups which are quite powerful. They really keep the mixer stay put in place however they also make it a bit difficult to detach the mixer from countertop.

Verdict

DOBBOR SM1553 is not as good as a KitchenAid KSM7581 stand mixer hence the price difference however for basic home baking you might find it to be sufficient.
